5 DAYS TOUR FROM FEZ TO MERZOUGA DESERT

• First Day  : Fez – Midelt – Todra Gorges

First of all, we give you a general idea about the places you are going to visit during these 5 days tour  from Fez to Merzouga desert; then take actions. We drive to Todra Gorges ,passing through Ifrane and cedar forests of Azrou where wild monkeys live . You will have lunch in a Berber village named “Zaida”. You continue the way through the Atlas Mountains – enjoying the landscapes of Midelt. You pass through the famous town of Imilchil before arriving to Todra Gorges in the evening.  You spend the night there.

• 2nd  Day : Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, you discover Todra Gorges before driving to Merzouga desert passing through Erfoud (the capital of dates and fossils) and Rissani (The ancient market in the region). Once you arrive at Merzouga, you stay in desert hotel and you will have a free program to discover desert area on your own.

• 3rd Day : Merzouga camel trek and 1 night in desert camp

You will have a circuit excursion around desert by 4×4 cars. on your way, you will visit oases, observe nomad people and their lifestyle;you will have the chance also to pay a visit to Khamlia village (famous for its African music). In the evening, you take a camel trek across the  sand dunes to a desert camp where you stay overnight in comfortable tents. You will be astonished  with the amazing sunset at the  desert.

• 4th Day : Merzouga – Rissani – Midelt

After an early sunrise shot ,You ride the camels back to Merzouga; and after taking shower and having breakfast breakfast, You continue your trip to Midelt. In the way, you  can visit Souk (Market)  in Rissani and also fossils shop and factory in Erfoud , you travel again via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains. You will spend a night in local hotel in Midelt.

• 5th Day : Midelt – Azrou – Fez

On the last day of the trip, you leave Midelt and drive through the cedar forests of Azrou where you can  stop for a rest or taking some photos of the wild monkeys. You go on you way  to Ifrane, called also the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ then arrive early evening to Fez where the tour ends.
